How to get your own branded billing app — no developer needed

It means the app is indistinguishable from one you commissioned: your app name under the icon, your logo as the icon itself, and — on Windows — an installer that opens with your branding image and your terms of use before staff click I Agree → Install. Inside, the app opens directly on your own web address (your subdomain or your custom domain), already on your login screen.

The builder pre-fills everything from what you have already set up: the icon defaults to the favicon or logo saved in your settings, and the app name defaults to your business name. If the defaults look right, getting a branded app is genuinely a two-click job — open the builder, press build.

The Windows builder follows the same form-then-build flow and produces a .exe installer. Run it on a counter PC and staff see a proper installation wizard carrying your branding image and your terms of use; after I Agree → Install, the app opens from its own desktop shortcut like any other Windows program. It installs per-user with no administrator rights, so you never need an IT person to unlock a PC.

Installed apps also keep themselves current: when you publish a newer build, running apps show a gentle, non-blocking notice — and recent versions update themselves in one click. Rebuilding is routine, not a project: change your logo or name in settings, press build again, and roll the new installer out whenever it suits you.

Beyond branding, the desktop app has a practical superpower: it loads from the PC itself, so it opens even when the internet is down — and ERP Node's offline-first billing keeps working inside it, queueing sales that sync back automatically without double-counting. A browser tab can bill through an outage too, but only if it was already open; the desktop app removes even that condition.

It also keeps the counter tidy: staff open your app from a desktop shortcut instead of finding the right browser tab, and the full-window app leaves no address bar or browser clutter around your billing screen.

Both builders are paid addons, priced per addon per month like every ERP Node module — there is no separate per-app development fee. Each addon includes five builds per calendar month (failed builds don't count), one build runs at a time per business, and a typical build finishes in minutes.
